The Summer Band Picnic takes place during the summer band camp. It is a time for everyone to take a break from the rigors of band camp and get together to have some fun. Swimming, volleyball and socializing replace learning music, routines and drill. Some sections even make desserts depicting their section's mascots. Each year a band member's family opens their home to host the picnic. This year's senior Amanda C. and her family hosted the picnic. With the exception of the hail storm, which at least came right at dinner time, the day was beautiful and everyone had a great time.
