Rookie Basic Taining takes place in late winter or early spring. The new recruits for next year's Blue Eagle Marching Band and the current year's rookies attend training sessions with the staff and candidates trying out for next year's Drum Major position. The four or five sessions cover the very basics of marching, playing and what it takes to be a member of the Blue Eagle Marching Band.
