The Nazareth Blue Eagle Marching Band proudly presented
trophies to all the competitors for group placement as well as for special awards.
"SoundFest" is the competition that we host at the Andrew S. Leh Stadium for many other visiting bands each year. It is dedicated to Augustine "Gus" Weinhofer, the legendery Director of the Nazareth High School Band. There will literally be nearly a thousand visiting students and parents. It is an unbelievable day of marching, flags, and music in Nazareth. 1983 was the FIRST annual Blue Eagle SoundFest.
Band parents, as the hosts of this, volunteer their time
to help in the organization and running of this event, especially in the
areas of:
- Refreshment Stands
- Programs
- 50/50 Tickets
- Candy sales
- Bake Sale
- Air-Grams (personal messages announced over the speakers)
- Ground Prizes
- Band Host (like a tour-guide for the visiting bands)
- Bus Parking directing
- Admission Ticket sales (to visiting parents and guests)
- Button Sales ("I came to the football game to see the band!")
On October 14, 2006 - 10 high school bands will be performing in the the U.S.S.B.A. sanctioned Nazareth Blue Eagle Marching Band SoundFest.
